Holmes Beach
Anna Maria Island
By: Hubert Crowell 7/21/2010
Morning walks along the shore.
Sea gulls circle and soar.
Crabs scurry into holes bored.
Old men in bed snore.
Long walks made them sore.
Boats wait for an oar,
waiting to sail and more.
Noon comes along with heat.
Umbrellas for a cool seat.
Sand pipers run for treats.
Gulls attack crabs for meat.
Waves never miss a beat.
Beach house is great retreat.
Palms provide shade for me.
Evening brings close to day.
Sunset draws us to stay.
Daytime was for the brave.
Storms bring us big waves.
July's hot, better in May.
Short walk to Tampa Bay.
Lots of beach for play.
