Family and Friends

We can pick and choose our friends.
But others decide when the family extends.

Good or bad it does not matter.
We accept them all, more the better.

We may not like what we see.
But better or worse we love thee.

We stick together through thick and thin.
Forgive each other and make amends.

Rich or poor it will matter not.
In a pinch we all give a lot.

When others are found special to be.
We add them to our family tree.

When others join, never raise a fuss.
God did more than that for us.

You may back off and not attend.
But your family will always call again.

Years pass and families fail to meet.
But when together again what a treat!

Family may be, church, work or other.
But rules still apply, love one another.

No jealousy here, were all the same.
Live, share and die, just different names.

So when you make a new friend.
Be careful that you do not pretend.
